This album started with the creation of a preset in the polygon VST by Glitchmachines.
The resulting sound was quite sinister with haunting qualities and immediately brought H P Lovecraft to mind.
I worked this into a song including delay effects and convolution reverb which I’ve not used before with some free impulse responses I got from www.bedroomproducersblog.com which produced some unexpected but great results.
I decided that I could make an EP using a limited set of sounds to explore different aspects of the created song.
This went much better than I thought thanks mainly to the inspiration from a short story by H P Lovecraft – The Lurking Fear - and resulted with the creation of album of 8 songs with each song and the album itself is named after the story.
